For goods delivery one should make use of railways as it is running by the use of electricity which will limit the use of petrol and diesel.
He also urged people to support the government in saving the foreign currency and show the true patriotism during the global crisis.

In his speech he appealed to the nation 7 things like restrained cooking oil and fuel consumption, work-from-home (WFH), avoiding buying gold for one year and many more.

1. Avoid Buying Gold for One Year:
In his speech Prime Minister urges citizens to avoid purchasing gold for the next one year.
During the global economic stress due to the ongoing conflict in West Asia, this appeal is to not put any kind of pressure on foreign exchange reserves.
India is considered as one of the world’s largest importer of gold and if people purchase gold unnecessary in excessive it can have led to pressure on foreign exchange reserve.
As the global economic stress in ongoing, government wants to reduce import expenditure.
Even by limiting gold import will definitely lower the burden of foreign exchange and hence can help India’s trade balance.
In India, buying gold is a tradition and culture in Indian Weddings, it’s really a big question and concern for the government on how to save national financial reserves.
Gold prices are already at a high price and buying more gold directly caused foreign exchange, so it is better not to buy any gold for at least one year.
2. If Possible, Prioritize Work-from-Home:
Honorable Narendra Modi urges citizens to prioritize Work-from-Home. He said that at the time of corona, we already opted for work from home, and it became our habit.
So now at the time of global crisis, if possible, one should revive the Work-from-Home practices again.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also urged citizens to reduce the consumption of cooking oil. By taking into consideration the current global situation every citizen of India should reduce the consumption of cooking oil.
It is also beneficial for us if we consume oil in a moderation. People of India should take moral responsibility as it is in the national interest.
4. Use public Transport, Reducing Petrol & Diesel Consumption:

India is an agricultural country. Farmers are using excessive chemicals for the production. Narendra Modi urged farmers to go for Natural Farming.
It will help two ways as there will be more organic production takes place which directly helps in health as there will be no pesticide.
6. Avoid Foreign Travel for Vacation or Marriages
Summer vacation is going on and many people have planned their foreign travel for vacation.
Even marriage season is going on and destination wedding is a new trend in the market. Modi has informed to avoid foreign travel for vacation and for marriages.
7. Use Swadeshi and Avoid or Limit Foreign Branded Products
Go for local products instead of foreign branded products. It is also beneficial in vocal for local.
Narendra Modi wants nation to stop or to limit the import of foreign products and also to control in buying products which directly impacts foreign exchange.
India has not raised any prices of petrol or diesel, and India is having stock of Petrol, oil and natural Gas. There is no question of scarcity, but it is advisable to control the consumption of Petrol and related items.
If there will be no control, then there are high chances that there will be hike in price of Petrol.
If Petrol prices will be increased then all the products like vegetables, milk and all the essential products prices will automatically increase as transportation expenses will be increased.
