Zimbabwe stunned Australia by securing easy win: Can Australia qualify for Top 8?

Zimbabwe has scored 169 runs while Australia scored 146 runs, and Zimbabwe secured a win by 23 runs. Brian Bennet has scored 64 runs Not out while Blessing Muzarabani has taken 4 wickets by just giving 17 runs.
In 2007 World Cup Zimbabwe has secured a win against Australia and this time also Zimbabwe beaten Australia in 2026 World Cup.

Historic double: This was Zimbabwe’s second win over Australia at a T20 World Cup stage. The last time Zimbabwe defeated Australia in the tournament was in 2007 in the inaugural edition and India won the title.
100-wicket milestone: Blessing Muzarabani became the third player for Zimbabwe to take 100 T20I wickets. He reached the milestone with the wicket of Adam Zampa. Before Muzarabani, Sikander Raza (103) and Richard Ngarava (111) took more than 100 wickets for Zimbabwe.
Renshaw’s heroic efforts went in vain
Australia was still widely expected to chase it down. Even without key players, including captain Mitchell Marsh, the Australian team possessed enough firepower to get the job done. However, they stumbled to 29 for 4 as Zimbabwe’s bowlers seized control.
Matthew Renshaw revived hopes with a fighting 65 off 44 balls, but Australia ultimately fell 23 runs short. He has tried hard but not able to take his team to the winning line.
Zimbabwe chance to qualify for Top 8
After winning 2 matches, Zimbabwe has high chances to qualify for Top 8. Australia and Sri Lanka both are in the same group with Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe has to play 2 more matches out of it they just need to win 1 match, and they will qualify for Top 8.
Zimbabwe has created a tension in Australia and Sri Lanka team as only first 2 team of this group will qualify for Top 8.
It will be interesting to see which teams will qualify from this group.
